when i finally get what i have been fighting over for a long time, it suddenly doesn't seem all that precious anymore. i even forgot why i wanted it so much.

I was always skeptical about Singaporeans (though i am one).
Gestures that were kiasu, kiasi and what's the last one? Nvm, these three had been said to be typical characteristics of a Singaporean. Anf i must admit i do fall into this category.

Well, back to the story. I was queuing for the doctor ystd night, and there were like 10 more patients before my turn would come. My mum was pretty worried so she decided to ask if i could see the doc first. I kept dissuading her, thinking that it'd be impossible. But she asked all the same. Miraculously, the nurse agreed D: after checking that i was burning at 40. So here comes the shock, The woman who was going in before my new number approached and said that she'd exchange with me, so that i could go in first O: major shock!
at that split second, i felt so touched that i wanted to tear.
couldn't believe a stranger could be so magnanimous and unselfish! :D

so in i went~ argh the doc cost a bomb anw! he gave me 5antibiotic pills which cost 7/each. guess it's really true that they're running out of effective antibiotocs ):

Grah this week is a meng busy week D:
h3, econs case studies, electrochem due tmr.
wed: stats test (=tuesday gone)
thurs: guanjianci test (=wednesday gone)
fri: hairong essay (=thursday gone), and need to find ly for lw by the end of the week D:

i feel like a zombie ): just taking each day as how it comes and then send it off without relieve cuz tmr is the same old routine all over again.
i can't wait for the weekend (god, it's only monday today), yet i dread friday.
cuz that means it's < 2wks to prelims.

Sad to say, I've never really gotten to know people from other sections. But xyz gave me really awesome times. I'm proud to say I have a fairly bonded section (: Little things like eating packed lunches together, snatching our communal food, facebooking during pracs and defying limyang, okay this were ~~all~~ the fun moments, just to name a few.
Even attending practices became a joy more than a chore! A large part of it goes to seeing all the people, but I only realised, hearing the improvement in our music was an added joy (:
You don't look out for it consciously, but as I reflect now, from being unable to play even notes 3 or 4 months ago, to being able to play together as an orchestra, it was no mean feat.
Time was tight, but I think we did make the best out of it. Though I still couldn't play my parts well, hmm but no, no regrets.

I remember the days when I gave up CO for fac dance pracs, vividly.
I felt so helpless, out of place, outcasted. I asked myself why did I even bother to return to CO.
Was cheated into syf audition, and I could only play 1 or 2 notes. No kidding.
It wasn't merely disappointment that overwhelmed me when I wasn't able to be part of syf, it was shame.
So I used to be very sour about it when ppl talked about syf. Oh and esp when the photo that the J3 seniors gave as a leaving gift DIDNT EVEN HAVE ME IN IT ): GAHHHHH

But as time went by, you guys made me forget the fact that I wasn't playing onstage during syf. It didn't matter any longer cuz I felt I was part of the big family (: And i totally agree that the next time I walk by src, I'll feel weird if I don't step into mph. urgh second home ^^

i think i'll miss moving instruments too. how everyone works hard and sweat together just for a simple goal that can't be achieved simply (:

a month passed uber quickly, and bro is on the flight back to aus..(have a safe flight!)
OHNO i'm supposed to scan sth. cham liao.

today was a relatively good day (:

all was good until i realise i just like got cheated of $10 -.-
the asian ver. was only selling @$19 at cdrama, and i bought it at wth price.

today's performance was especially...how should i put it?
encouraging and heartwarming :D
there were shouts of BRAVO coming from the audience, people singing along to 生日歌, and weilao's usual but successful stunt of engaging the audience with his rhythmic claps and random repeats by the orchestra.
the joy, especially when the resounding applause tells how much the audience have enjoyed the perf.
there may be glitches here and there, but overall, great job (and great audience)!

though i totally broke down during 生日歌, i felt the euphoria of playing during 丰年祭's chorus! it's a long-lost feeling seriously, the last time was during syf, where that tingling excitement, joy (and nervousness) lingered on for the whole time we were onstage (: minus the nervousness this time though, surprisingly.

for that euphoria, i am looking forward to concert!

i saw a sec1 ny girl reading jap notes on the bus today.
i'm not sure if i'm mistaken but it seemed as if she fell asleep while studying (always happens, on the bus esp).
and it made me think back to my ny days.
i rmb dozing off on the bus, fighting to keep awake during jap, ploughing through om and ipw shit. and of course, math. but i don't rmb being this tired.
like, a need to outlive the day. it's not just sleep, i need a mental break.
